Course Overview
This training of trainers certification provides the foundation for any training yet emphasizes the unique challenges of cultural diversity training. There are two parts to training: (1) High Impact Cultural Diversity Training Design & Development (DELA 200) and (2) Training Facilitation Skills (DELA 400B). Training design and development involves a combination of skill, discipline, experience, and creativity.
This training of trainers course is designed to develop the ability to create high impact training modules. The goal is to give you a set of best practice tools needed to effectively design cost-effective training modules to develop competencies. The course emphasizes cultural diversity training, but the skills can be applied to any type of training.
The facilitation skills part of the training of trainers course provides an overview and examples of training skills and techniques. Each participant is required to demonstrate the skills by arranging for videotaping their performance in short 7-10 training samples. The instructor(s) will evaluate the taped performances to provide feedback.
Evaluation
Successful completion of the training of trainers course requires completing the entire set of assignments with a final overall score of 78% or greater. Each assignment must be completed. Note: This course requires videotaping of two facilitation skills demonstrations based on assignment requirements. Each participant will need to complete these and the other assignments with satisfactory scores to receive the credentials. Videotaping is recorded at the participant’s desired location and expense.
