1. Followers of the Islamic religion, called Muslims, are the fastest growing religious group in the U.S.

2. Only 18% of the world’s 1.2 billion Muslims live in Arab countries.

4. About 64% of the converts to Islam are African American, who make up about 30% of Islamic people in the U.S.

5. Only a tiny fraction of the Islamic people hates America.

7. Islamic religion does not advocate violence. In fact, a belief in the sacredness of human life is at its heart. To commit suicide is considered the road to hell and taking one human life is the taking of all of human life.

8. Terrorists practice an ideology, not a religion.

9. More Muslims than non Muslims have died because of terrorism.

10. Muslim Americans face dual tragedies at once because of recent events: The loss of fellow Americans in NY and DC and the humiliation of being stereotyped as responsible for the acts of terrorists.
